Timeless Elegance in Greenwich Village A Blend of History and Modernity
Greenwich Residence is located in Greenwich Village, Connecticut. It is a residence that ingeniously combines history with modernity. Its renovation and design were carried out by Studio Valerie Name, founded by Valerie Name. The project starts with respect for historical heritage while endowing the space with warmth and elegance in line with contemporary lifestyles.

The residence originally inherited the architectural style of the Georgian period, being heavy and solemn. The design team, while preserving its historical charm, infused it with the simplicity and fluidity of modern design. Through carefully selected precious materials and custom-made furniture, they have shaped the space into a place that is both historically profound and rich in modern aesthetics. Every detail reflects a response and recreation of tradition, transforming the residence beyond its mere functionality into an artwork that narrates the dialogue between history and the present.

Furniture and artworks do not exist in isolation within it but rather reflect each other. The crystal-clear glass pendant is like fragments of light and shadow frozen in time, and its light and graceful posture echoes the gentle curves of the Vega Chair and the balanced shape of the Minitore Armchair. These custom-made works not only carry practical value but also become sculptural elements of the space, complementing the living taste of the residents.

In the master bedroom, a precisely proportioned Naos Bench was designed by Nem himself and decorated with Anni Albers style fabrics, adding a warm texture of fabric art to the space. Its serene atmosphere and luxurious details are juxtaposed, creating an ideal place for contemplation and rest.

The daughter's room carries the narrative of the family's memories. The hand-painted murals on the wall depict childhood scenes in Manhattan, endowing the room with both a personalized emotional warmth and a unique visual imprint. It is not only a spatial decoration, but also a continuation and transmission of family stories.

In Greenwich Residence, the soft touch and warm atmosphere permeate every corner. History and modernity interweave here, jointly creating a living space full of artistic meaning.
