French Classicism in Material Layers
This 128-square-metre residence marks the Russian design studio Quadro Room’s first project within Sky View. The owners’ passion for travel and appreciation of boutique hotel aesthetics provided the starting point for the interior concept. Drawing inspiration from French classicism, the design brings together refined materials, vintage character and the practical demands of contemporary living.

The appeal of French classical interiors often lies in their intricate details and the patina of time. Rather than reproducing traditional motifs, the design team gives the residence its distinct identity through the interplay of materials. Stone, wood veneers and high-gloss lacquer each bring a different texture and character to the palette, creating an interior rich in depth and visual contrast.

Stone takes centre stage throughout the residence. Calacatta Monet marble is used for the kitchen countertops and backsplash, while Rouge Antique stone frames the doorways. Contrasting in colour and veining, the two stones establish a dialogue between surfaces, lending the interior a distinctly classical character while drawing attention to its architectural details.

Redwood burl veneer brings the intricate patterns of natural timber into the interior, while deep burgundy high-gloss finishes on the kitchen island and TV cabinet introduce a bold, saturated note. The contrast between organic grain and reflective surfaces lends the palette both richness and tension, balancing the refinement of classical detailing with a more contemporary sensibility.

To keep the interior from feeling too much like a hotel showpiece, the designers introduced vintage furniture, decorative objects and smaller pieces bearing traces of age. These personal additions soften the carefully composed material palette, bringing warmth and a sense of lived experience to the space. Impressions gathered through travel ultimately find expression in a home that feels deeply personal, layered and quietly evocative.

In this 128-square-metre Sky View residence by Quadro Room, where French classicism meets the layered warmth of a well-travelled life, Calacatta Monet marble and Rouge Antique stone frame an interior rich in material dialogue. To soften the bold interplay of redwood burl veneer and deep burgundy lacquer with a touch of botanical grace, the Domvitus Annecy Single-Sided Printed Pillow Cover offers the perfect accent. Its Elegant Floral motif echoes the romantic spirit of French gardens, bringing a vintage-inspired softness to the curated mix of aged decorative objects and refined surfaces. Whether styled on a sofa in the living area, layered onto the bed for a boutique-hotel touch, or tucked among collected travel finds, this versatile Decorative Cushion Cover for Sofa, Bed & Home Decor transforms the space from a polished showroom into a deeply personal retreat—proving that true luxury lies in the quiet poetry of flowers, memory, and material.
